What should I do with my leisure battery during the winter?

Some leisure batteries such as those manufactured by Numax are maintenance free so in theory you shouldn’t need to do anything special to the “maintenance free” type throughout winter. This sort of battery is fully sealed so there’s very little you can do aside from keeping a check on it’s charge.

Other types of leisure battery should receive regular maintenance, check for water and charge the battery fully every 6 weeks. Failure to do this will result in cells collapsing and if that happens the battery will not take another charge.
